I didn't even realize this trade happened until tonight.

Ryan Freel to the Cubs

Joey Gathright to the Orioles

I was excited to see how Freel would've fit in with the Orioles but I understand why the trade happened. I hope he gets a lot of playing time in Chicago. He's a hard-nosed player.

I'm very excited. I love the Cubs and met Freel online through some music stuff I am involved in. We were supposed to see him play the Twins in August (2 free tickets for me) to meet him and possibly his family.
