What are your 2014 collecting goals?

We seem to do this thread at the end of each year and I haven't seen one for 2014 yet. What are your collecting goals for 2014?


Mine are:

1. Add at least 3 new HOF member 2002 Signing Bonus's that I do not already have.
2. Buy a lot less and get rid of a bunch of junk that I don't want anymore.
3. Finish my 2001 Topps Heritage set.

Mine probably seems like nothing to some of your guys but here it is.
1 Get my brother to love baseball and card collecting.
2 Hit 15 Adam Eaton auto cards ( I have 5 right now)
3 get 200 signed cards either ip or ttm

1.Reach over 100 different Biggio relics and autos.

2. Reach over 150 Astros relics or auto'd cards all of different players.

3. Add 15 signed baseballs, 3 signed mini helmets, and a signed jersey to my collection.

4. Get back over 100 TTM autos and 100 email autos apiece.

5. Finish up my photobucket.



As you can see, some of these goals are a little tough. Lets get to trading!

Maybe add two autographs to my HOF collection? I don't know if that will even be possible. What I should do, if I were smart and had any self control, is not buy anything throughout the year and save enough to buy myself a Christy Mathewson autograph for Christmas 2014. Hmmm...

Finally dump the collection.

About the same here ... though not necessarily the "collection" piece of it, just all the other stuff laying around that I could care less about (which is probably 90% of what I have laying around).

1) Add a JJ GU Glove, Jersey or Pants to the collection.
2) Hit between 1250 and 1500 certified pack pulled auto's of JJ (at nearly 1000 now).
3) Add 15 more 1/1's to the collection

1. Find a 1997 Kerry Wood Topps Stars Always Mint
2. 1992 Ted Willaims Autograph
3. Go through all my partial sets and complete them or get rid of them.

2. Start and complete 1970 Topps! Got first lot in last night!

1. Add 200 cards to my Kerry Wood Collection.
2. Complete the 2012 Bowman Chrome Rainbow for Danny Winkler.
3. Keep my collecting small enough that my wife does not kill me.

1. Identify the last few "uncatalogued" cards from the 2010 Exquisite set.
2. Identify the Heath Bell Double Take variation from 2010 Upper Deck.
3. Knock out a few more patches from my Topps Updates All Star sets.

Goals:
1. Add 20 Adam Dunn pack-pulled autos I don't already own.
2. Add a nice game-used Dunn item (jersey, helmet, hat or ball).
3. Have Topps fulfill my over-sized nameplate redemption from this past May.
4. Road trip and watch Dunn in person.

Probably very much the same as the last few years

Complete 1941 Play Ball and 1955 Bowman sets, keep a eye out for 1971 Greatest Moments I need, along with several modern low-print-run sets
Keep adding to my 2011 Marquee Museum stack
Find a 2001 Topps Heritage Chrome Magglio Ordonez, finally, ending my incredible frustration
Take on a 2014 set that is somewhat reasonable in its scope, price, and chances for completion
Scan my Sizemore collection and put it online
Sell a ton of crap

sell off some low end game used stuff to build a bankroll

add some nice Braun GU Relics to my PC ...
Got some nice "jumbo" relics in recently. Man there nice!

maybe add a nice patch or another autographed bat or an actual game used item

That's about it ... Oh spend less money .. Good luck with that one!

Earn an FCB user reward point. Maybe easier to win the lottery. Lol

Focus on PSA HOF rookies and t206s.

1. Finally start my PSA 7+ set of 1954 Topps.

2. Finish up some small, mostly oddball, sets I'm missing a couple from each.

3. Complete the 2013 Archives Football Glossy insert set. Great looking cards if you haven't seen them!

4. Get a great looking "classic Cavs uni" Mark Price auto patch.

1. Reach 1300 different Craig Biggio cards
2. Reach 220 different Derrick Brooks cards
3. Find my gift card to Balls and Strikes..My mom brought me one for Xmas...and lost it, so she brought another one...and now I cant find it
