Hey everyone. I was wondering what are your collecting goals for 2009? I guess I will start it off.

My goals are as follows:

Finish my 1955 Topps PSA 7 or better 1955 Topps set. (only 5 more to go!)

Start a 1956/57 Topps PSA 7 or better set

Continue collecting all Topps base cards of Roberto Clemente up until his final season.

P.S.

Merry Christmas and I hope that all the vintage collectors out there will find "old cardboard" in their Christmas Stockings on Christmas day!

I wanted to finish my 57 Topps set by 12.31.2009. I'm continuing to grade cards as I get them, so hopefully I'll have the complete set graded by 2010-2011

My HOF auto collection is stalling and will soon be cost-prohibitive to add to, so I'm going to start picking up vintage of HOF stars whose autos I can't afford. See my Christmas gift post here on the vintage boards for the 6 HOF t206s I got for Christmas.

1. Reach the 100 card mark for my T210 set.

2. Pickup the following cards:

- Cracker Jack Harry Hooper
- M116 Ed Karger
- PC758 Joe Wood

3. Add a few cards/cabinets/etc. to my Pre-1920 New England Baseball collection.

Still can't believe I got outbid on that one. :(

My goals are:

1. Get Doerr's 1950 Bowman & 1951 Topps to complete his vintage cards from his playing days set.

2. Get Joe Cronin's last 33 Goudey RC I need...#189

3. Get Red Sox vintage cards of Duffy Lewis [T207], Tris Speaker [E91], and Joe Wood [E91]

4. Finish my 1939 Play Ball Red Sox set

5. Grade all of my raw vintage....this will be done in January :)

Maine of course......
There are a couple of odd ball Ted's I am looking for. Wish the Live.com discount were in play now as I would hit a couple of them.

Will look to add some old-time HOFer autos to my collection as well. Would like to be above 160 HOFer autos by year end. Have to "replace" a few that were not authenticated by PSA.

Still need a 53 Bowman Color Mantle to finish that set. See Live.com comment above.

Have 57 Topps and 52 Bowman sets on hold..........

I'm looking to start a PSA 6 or better 1955 Topps Baseball set. I was very intrigued by PSA 7 set being put together by Graymouse. Looking to add to my Hank Aaron graded vintage collection.

I was active on the old beckett site and look forward to seeing everyone pursue their vintage collecting goals.

Quite simple for me:

t206 - add one card per week on average to sit at around 150 by next Christmas

Prime Cuts I - MLB Icons Material Signature Prime - currently 44/51 (not including the sixteen 1/1's) - add the 7 missing cards

I'm actually thinking of the same thing....here's mine:

1.) Start my vintage collection with the Purtell T-209 that I have incoming

2.) Chase down one 209/week or trade for them as often as possible

Are you going after the color or b&w set (or both?)

My goal for this year is to get to 100 different T206's. I only need 23 more to get to that point, so it should be pretty achievable. I ended up with 2 doubles, so if I can trade those to another T206 collector that would get me even closer.
