Most prospectors buy for the sole purpose of flipping, and some hard core collectors won't ever sell any of their cards...where do you fit?

But I think most people fit in between those two...
You may select 2 options, if you find you are in between two

Mostly keep my cards, unless I can make a good profit.

I don't prospect, and I've only sold one card that would have otherwise remained in my collection.

Bonds autograph /5 pulled from a retail box; I knew at the time the money would have done me more good than the card. Plus it went into a great collector's personal collection.

I love to buy and sell, but also I enjoy ripping wax that I don't really expect to profit from. Retail boxes from Walmart, usually. Occasionally you get a big hit, but I'll likely do nothing with the 99% of the remaining cards, other than keep them in a box somewhere.

I will pick up stuff for my Pacific collection, but mainly I like looking for stuff for other collectors that I can make a profit on.

how did i leave that off of there...i forgot about wax busters..i would imagine most wax busters keep very little that is worth selling....they are in it for the lotto thrill!

I am a diehard collector, but I sell when I need money whether I make a profit, or take a loss. More often then not its a loss, but when I need money at the time(such as now) I'll deal with it because I can always pick them up again sometime in the future.

I chose "I switch up my collection all the time, profit not needed".

While I am "collecting/prospecting" Blake Beavan right now, I would sell them all in a heartbeat to pay for a bill. Or if I get bored, I wouldn't mind selling them all for what I paid for and start picking up a new guy. To me it's just fun to be able to say that I've owned so-and-so cards no matter for how long. It's just a fun hobby for me to do and I don't really ever throw any new money into my collection, I just sell to get my card money and trade to get more cards I need.

Die hard collector, none of my cards ever are for sale
and...

None of my cards are for sale. Unless, I could get a very large sum of money for them.

I don't collect to sell and make money, but if the right offer came around, I would sell.

For me, flipping is just another way to fund my PC. I don't see anything wrong with that whatsoever.

I try to find good deals, mostly lots, then break them up, and I usually turn out with a little extra money to spend on my PC.
