Who sells a Babe Ruth auto and doesn't have it authenticated by PSA/DNA or JSA?

May well be a reputable dealer, I don't know, but that just seems really odd.

Fading of the pigments in fountain pen ink is still an issue today if using certain brands; plus the contrast is all wrong...a lot of blue inks look purple when blown up like that.

That said, any Ruth auto not authenticated is fake...not really...but unless it can be had for literal chump change, it's not worth it.

I am not up on my Ruth autos but I do know my local shop has one and the owner swears if the line that crosses the T isnt perfectly straight its from his nurse or forged *shrugs*

here is the one they have at the store.

I am almost always wary of any double signed index card signed in two different inks.

An autograph book? Sure, there's plenty of possibility of using multiple items to sign it over time, but for a double signed index card to be signed large and boldly front and back using two different inks/pencil seems odd.

Now granted, I'm not in the market for a Babe Ruth autograph, but if I was...I wouldn't be looking at this.

I would just as soon not take the chance....even if it only goes for a few Hundred, you are probably looking at less than 10% chance of that being a real Ruth AUTO.....

Maine of course......
I agree with everyone here and really have no intention to bid. MIght email seller to see what they have to say about PSA or JSA authentication.

Could also go PSA quick opinion route but not likely.....
