Research Scientist, I work in the food industry, right now flavors and fragrances developing new uses for waste streams at food manufacturers.

For example I currently research on uses for the spent yeast coming off of the brewing industry. We convert it from everything from animal feed, cell culture media to high nucleotide enhancers. We try and find the best and most cost efficent solutions.

BTW George do you work in the field?

I train the staff of a major southeast retailer how to succeed at point of sale initiatives.

That is to say, getting someone to spend a little extra money as their checking out. Either in the form of a $20 "discount card" that they'll hardly ever use with the allure of a free coffee and tote bag, and to try a "free" trial subscription of a magazine of their choice with the hope that they'll forget to cancel and have the credit card automatically charged.

It pays the bills, but it helps if you have no morals and can prey on the elderly who have no idea what they're signing.
