A thread series called "What do you think about..." Followed by a specific player, team or season, or really whatever. I was thinking that since we have such a good cross section of fans, it would be interesting to see what people have to say. For example: What do you think about nonspecific Yankees player? I'm sure the Yankee fans will have nothing but praise for their hero, Red Sox fans will have nothing but hate (unless it's Jeter and there might be some respect), someone might remember him from his minor league games, someone else might have a good story from an autograph signing they saw them at, and so on and so on.
So basically, this thread is just asking if people think it's a good idea, and if they will participate. I don't mind starting up a new thread every few days featuring a different player, but if someone has a specific memory about someone they want to share, and hear what other people have to say about said player, I say start it up. Maybe make the thread title something like...

WDYTA:Players name

With the WDYTA being a shorter way to say what do you think about....

Anyway, good idea, bad idea, needs some tweaking? Share your ideas please. I wanna know if there will be participation before I just start it up

I wonder about what it would be like if there was more televised baseball for Ty Cobb, Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, etc. I know there are some newsreel clips for the real older guys and some World Series highlight films for the guys for the 40's-60's, but finding at least a complete at-bat in real speed of some of those older HOF's is pretty difficult and it would be fun to watch their approaches at the plate rather than just a clip of their result.
