What in the world happened to Russell Martin this season?

I think a little Jason Kendall syndrome - just doesn't have the legs he used to. I know he's not old but playing like he does takes a toll on his body.

As a Dodger fan I was never sold on Martin. And this year he seems to be the kiss of death whenever there are runners in scoring position. They should have kept Santana and traded his sorry ass.

The best reason I've heard is he's broken down. He caught 151 and 155 games in 2007 and 2008. There's a lot of position players who don't play that many games, let alone catch. I doubt it's the only reason, but it's got to be a big one.

Totally. That's way too many games, in my opinion. Yadi only catches what, 125-130 games a year?
