I received the following perforated card sheet in the mail that did not have any protection around it (The Jeter card is all creased and it was free shipping so I got what I paid for).

What is the best way to remove the cards, especially the Pujols card from the sheet? Should I gently tear along the perforation, use a box cutter and cut along the perforation, use a paper cutter, or use a box cutter with a ruler and cut on the edge of the cards (Bagwell, Guerrero, Thome) leaving the perforation intact on the Pujols card?

With a straight edge, lightly score the tabs on the front and back, through the surface layers but no deeper, then pull apart.

Especially if grading, making sure the surface layers are clean and that the ply between has that "fuzzy" quality that is expected when tearing tabs.
