I just remember 2005 when they were at 15-30. Everybody thought of them as done. Then they went to the Series to get the crap kicked out of them by the White Sox. Thats the best they ever got.

Yeah but that team had a lot of talent on it and Drayton spent money. Add to that the team was clicking on all cylinders together, all at the same time, and you've got a chance. Were the White Sox a better team? Yes. But the astros choked pretty badly. That's why it was hard to watch. You see them get there for the first time and then they play in a manner that leaves you wondering how they ever got there at all. Right now, I expect them to go nowhere until some of these guys get called up and they quit platooning people who ought to be everyday starters(like Castro). Then, hopefully Crane will spend some of that money.

Looks like they were eliminated from the WC on 8/19/03 and the Central on 8/22/03.

Very close then - as we have an extra wild card this year so it takes longer to be eliminated.
