Once you narrow down your interests, I'd research before I bought anything anymore. Alot of scams in the hobby.

To answer you question, I collect 1989 Fleer Bill Ripken (trying to get ALL of the versions and info) higest paid was $500 IIRC and 1 of each 2005 Bowman Draft R. Martin (family memory kinda thing) Highest paid was $500 IIRC.

i like vintage cards but after i have a good vintage collection i will look into autos
i like the twins
fav. player is joe mauer
i like rookie cards and have a few errors
