Pulled this year a couple weeks after release. Sold it here to a member for 250 to avoid the 30 bucks or so it would have been on ebay. If I had it now, probably bring considerably more.

Beauty.
Not much more right now. Last 2 sold for $300 & $325.

I can only imagine, that they will be on the rise again shortly though.

Great stuff guys.
Thread pretty much was done after that Livingston Cut though.

I pulled the redemption for this card way back when. Bought a box of Hoops at the local Shopko. Odds were like 1:13,000 Traded it for $500 worth of Cal Ripken cards. (Not my card, just borrowed the image)

Another sold at 360 tonight. These things have nowhere to go but up. I'm sitting on a bunch of base chromes that I'm already in the double profit zone if I were to sell today

for me the best retail hits would have to be either

1) 2007 Upper Deck Series 1 had the rookie redemption set that was going for close to 100 for the set redemption card at the time(501-520) what people did not know was that the same cards 501-520 where in the fat packs at walmart i must of bought a good 20 or so to finish my series 1 set sold off all the rookies for crazy i sold a few kei igawa and dice-k rookies from there for 20-30 each (not bad for 4.99 rack pack)

2) back in 2002 when the drugstore near me (cvs) was going to stop carrying cards they cleared out everything they had i bought 3 sealed boxes of 2002 topps top ten for like $24 a box stuff is retail only) pulled 2-3 scrub gu and a roy oswalt auto (sold for 40)

3) idk if this counts but bought one of hose topps value boxes last night topps did not yield anything of note but from the bowman chrome pack Luis Heredia blue refractor auto

Out of a pack of Topps Opening Day

Cards1001.jpg
ok...what's the punchline?
:?:
I don't see Nolan Ryan listed as a Opening Day auto anywhere.
The punchline is you and your ignorance

2001 Team Topps Legends, found in 2002 Opening Day packs at a rate of 1:3036
Ok, so this is how the card is listed on Beckett...

2001 Topps Team Topps Legends Autographs #TT7R Nolan Ryan 68

...and here is the description...
These signed cards were inserted into various 2001-2003 Topps products. As these cards were inserted into different products and some were exchange cards. Most players in this set were featured on reprinted versions of their classic Topps "rookie" and "final" cards. The checklist was originally comprised of cards TT1-TT50 (with each player having an R and F suffix (i.e. Willie Mays is featured on TT1F with his 1973 card and TT1R with his 1952 card). In late 2002 and throughout 2003, additional players were added to the set with checklist numbering outside of the TT1-TT50 schematic. The numbering for these late additions was based on player's initials (i.e. Lou Brock's card is TT-LB) and only reprints of their rookie-year cards were produced
So since I wasn't collecting in 2002, there were exactly how many ways for me to know this card was from an Opening Day product?

But thanks for relaying this information to me...in the douchiest way humanly possible.

It says "inserted into various 2001-2003 Topps products" and I stated it was pulled from TOPPS Opening Day. I fail to see how that can be misunderstood/misconstrued? He relayed the info in that manner because you asked the question in the most ignorant/douchy way possible.

Sorry if you don't get my sense of humor with the punchline comment, but I was genuinely curious about the card.

If you want to lump yourself in with one of the biggest useless pricks on this board, good for you bud.

I pulled Ray Ripplemeyer and Dan Dobbek Real Ones autos from 2011 Heritage blaster, and a 2007 Topps Distinguished Service Ralph Kiner auto from a WalMart pack.

Back in 1994, I pulled a Mike Schmidt auto from a 1991 Classic Best box I got at a KMart, back when KMart stocked older boxes at cheap prices. I do not know if it was a retail box, but it was a $150 card when I pulled it. Remember opening the box while sitting in a Papa Gino's with my mother, and crapping myself when I found that auto sitting in the pack. Then I traded it for a bunch of cards including a 1994 Leaf Limited Gold Frank Thomas, which was a $40 card at the time. ::facepalm::

2005 BCDP Ryan Zimmerman X-Fractor autograph.
Pulled from a $20 blaster box at Target.
It was such an awesome feeling because I rarely buy boxes.
