You...own...a...canyon?

Where in west Texas?

In West Texas we call that a "ditch." Looks to be about 5 feet deep.

Yeah, my family has owned around 150 acres in Terlingua Ranch since I was born. Terlingua Ranch is just north of Big Bend Nat'l Park and about 30 miles from the Mexican border. Luckily that 30 miles is a National Park and is heavily guarded, making it the path of most resistance, so illegals tend to cross elsewhere. My uncle found the pictured canyon about 20 miles north of our property, researched who owned it, and bought it. He recently died, and since all of my cousins aren't exactly responsible, it was left to me. I just have to pay $600 in fees and taxes each year. Unfortunately, it's a 12-hour drive, each way, from Houston, so I only get to make it out there once a year or so. But it's extremely desolate, quiet, and uniquely beautiful

The canyon walls are about 80' high, and the canyon itself is comprises about 5 acres. You live in or visit the area?

You didn't wear that nice All Star jersey with the Gateway Arch on it to the World Series this year did you?

Nope. I intentionally left it in the closet. I had 3 other Hamilton All-Star jerseys to choose from. :D

That's awesome! Big Bend is incredible. It's a shame that the mayor of Lajitas passed away - I hear he was a real hoot. The scale in that pic almost makes the bushes look like grass, and it almost looks like footprints at the bottom!

Here is mine. That is my oldest son on my shoulders. The pic was taken at Liberty State Park in NJ in April, 2001.

What's your beef with T. Swift!?

God you are weird; and not in the eccentric artist kind of way. More like the legally required to notify your neighbors kind of way.

Why so many cores; or is that a template?

It's only a i7 quad, but with hyper threading it shows as 8 virtual cores.

The power is needed to push my ATi HD 5870 appropriately.
