What is your favorite "1-2 punch" in your collection?

We've all seen threads of your single favorite card in your collection, but what are the two favorite cards in your collection that are somehow linked in some way? (ie, same set, same player, same insert type, same kick arse cards, maybe it's even two of the same card.... you can stretch it as far as you want, but the second card can't be one of Kevin Bacon! :lol: ) That one-two punch could contain your favorite card and another card that is linked to it somehow, but perhaps your favorite card is so far different from everything else in your collection that another pair may provide a bigger punch for the money. Some of the greatest things on earth can be found in pairs :lol: :lol:

I got these in one mailday, and it helped get the "rainbow in progress" up from one card to three:

I know it isn't anything special, but I think it is a great start. I am winning (or was when I last checked) the base, and the refractor autos. I just need the orange, red, and super. Someone here had the super, and these 2 cards were actually part of the rainbow that included it ::facepalm::

I might do the base version too... I think it would be fun to have them both.

I would say the first 2 in my sig. The Mauer X is an early grade with no auto grade. Its has all 9s. Very sharp and well centered, would kill to see it in a 9.5 holder. Paid just over 3 for it about a year ago. The Ichiro has been my white whale since i sold mine in late 2002. Honestly i started to miss it in 2004. I think hes insane for what he is and has done esp. after his years in Japan. + hes only about 750 away from 3000 here! Edit - both graded autos?

Bowman Chrome Blue refractor autos are beautiful, i like me some xreactors too.
I might do the base version too... I think it would be fun to have them both.
