It's got to be one of these Nap Rucker cards. I have never really had the "top of my head" knowledge of the older cards when determining year and such. I know nothing I have dates before 1900 and one of those 1888 Goodwin Champions Dan Brouthers cards would be my white whale, due to his HOF status, but more so his connection to the Brooklyn club.

There you go, I am so single minded (for baseball) that it didn't even occur to me that "other" cards would count and I remembered that I had picked this one up recently because my son's name is James Albert. This exact one is not my card, but I do have the same one, although slightly worse condition. I guess I do have a card that predates 1900 after all!
