Pretty easy question for all of ya.

My story.

I bought sports cards frequently when I was 10-12 (I loved the Topps scratch off contest in 1992), but I was not avid into the sports cards.

In the summer of 1993, I had a bad asthma attach and was hospitalized for a week.

During that time, my mom would bring me packs and packs of 1993 Upper Deck to pass the time. She also bought me the 1993 Beckett Almanac (which I still have to this day).

My favorite cards to get were the Walter Iioss JR cards and the Then & Now insert set.

It just snow-balled from there.

Another reason why I love my mom and miss her immensly!

Growing up in Dallas made it easy to get hooked with all the sports teams, so by following the teams, Rangers, Cowboys, Mavs, just made me want items and things of my favorite players and actually basketball cards was the first packs and cards I started collecting, but then I went to my first baseball game and was hooked from there :D

My dad got me started with baseball. He worked on the construction crew on the Old Busch. He was always a Cardinals fan, so he took me to my first baseball game in St. Louis.

At that game, he bought me my first pack of cards. I collected cards and comics for several years, but sold them all off (when they actually had LOTS of value) and bought myself my first car and paid my insurance for a year. I sold it all in 1990.

Fast forward to 2004.....Noah got a love of the Cardinals from my dad and I. So, I take him to Busch Stadium for his first game. It was Sept 18th, 2004. The Diamondbacks were playing the Cardinals. Our seats were first row, left field, right beside the bullpen. This was the game that Chris Carpenter first had the nerve damage in his elbow.

Reggie Sanders caught a long fly ball to end the top of the 6th inning. He threw the baseball up to Noah. From there, he was hooked. That is how the baseball collection got started. To this day, that exact baseball sits in one of the displays with no autograph.

I wanted to be just like my teenage neighbor, so at the age of 7 or 8 I began a small collection. It has been grown rapidly since then.
