Anyone who can successfully get Burbank to lower the asking price of a card they need for their collection to realistic levels is an obvious supercollector. If you can get them to give you a scan then you have reached god like status.

I have called Burbank on the phone and usually get them to take 15% off the price and I have gotten a scan from them at least twice. Also, I actually trust their judgment of condition more than most as when they say "NM-MT" in almost all listings, but I have easily gotten gem mint from them. As for the question of supercollector, someone once posted percentages of different cards of the player they collect. I do not call myself a supercollector for my hockey player collection because like most said, you usually are chasing every card made of a guy. I do not even like all designs out there or even certain player poses, so there is no way I am going to own every one. I just hit 100 cards in my pc and have 9% of all the different cards made, 13% of all his memorabilia cards, 13% of all his autographed cards, 10% of all his serial-numbered cards, and 50% of his rookie cards. I know the only guy out there who rivals my player collection, but I have different cards than him, so I feel personally I have the best player collection of this hockey player. Some said referencing a member or screen name when it comes to a player's cards and that maybe more accurate. If someone feels you have the best player collection of everybody who seriously collects a particular guy than that's better. We could nominate best player collections for each player by sport like SCF does, but that might be cheesy. If you like your player collection better than your rival's, than your gravy. Everybody collects for themselves the most. If you envy your rival's pc too much, than it could be time to pick another player to collect, but that's extreme. Happy hunting either way ;)
