Just got it back from grading. Should I sell now or hold and wait to sell later?

Not sure what value to put on it.

Id sell now for sure. He has more and more Rangers stuff coming out every few weeks. His WBC Japan stuff is selling for less and less.

He's here, and he's performing well. Short term, there could be modest continued increase if he gets better, or even if he just maintains and makes the all-star team and people think he's undervalued. I think the only thing that could make prices really spike is if he throws a no-hitter or something, and even then it'd be very temporary. With more of his stuff hitting the market, including tons of autographs, I'd cash out now.

Long term, though, he's interesting. He's only 25, but his stats sort of remind me of Randy Johnson's early years. He's currently 5th in the league in Ks and 4th in BBs. People seem to have a hard time putting the ball in play against him, though his control isn't quite pinpoint. His WHIP is 1.41, but if you deduct 1 walk from each of his starts, it's 1.25. A good chunk of his ERA is probably accounted for by excessive walks (though you could say that about anyone). If he can really figure it out so his Ks go up and walks go down, he'll be quite something. Usually it goes the other way, though.

Have to agree. Sell it now and get the best value. Then buy more cardboard.

He's walk issues are strange considering his Japanese career. He had great control before. I wonder if the difference in how we handle off days here is making him more wild.
