cost of living. nat'l gov't just doesn't get it....and I'm a just poor designer.

LOL! More like the pharmaceutical, oil, insurance, and auto companies don't understand the cost of living.....at least the car companies are starting to realize.

And please, we're all collecting a luxury, non-necessary product. Remember that before complaining on how its our government who doesn't understand the cost of living. (not necessarily pointed at Marterburn)

i thought about typing something like this in my post, but the way I typed it, it would probably just make it more obvious that I can't back up what I'm typing.

I'm not dumb, i just dont care or think about it too much because I'll never make more than about 55-60K in a year i think (& I'm way below that now).

With my post I was merely trying to see the other side of the coin.

The only immediate impact is the First Time Homebuyers credit and everything else is for 2009 and 2010 or at least eventually showing up in a check someday.

I plan to take full advantage of this.

Same here, as long as stuff stops popping up that takes our fundages we are thinking of getting a house. We haven't looked into it though so I'm sure even though you hear all these crazy low prices the banks are going to make us pay some insane payments unless we can get a good downpayment.
