I think what is smart is he got a legion of autograph collectors all over the country regularly paying at least $10 for a 25 count of blank cards that he produces.

He doesn't need licensing, doesn't have to slap a player's face [it obviously defeats the purpose] and he has created a successful 'card company.'

As far as making more than prospectors? Come on. He hardly sells any of these dumb things, go take a look at his completed listings. Factor in tickets to games, gas, time spent, etc-and he doesn't come close to making what the good or great prospectors make. Not even close.

Pujols-There is quite a difference between a Leaf 1/1 (certified) auto card, and these cut "1/1's".

the miguel cabrera in question by the op is cut from an 05 prime patches from what i can see. that was a licensed set the last time i checked. if the card was damaged, (or for whatever reason it became a cut subject), does he not have license to do whatever he wants to do with a card that he legally obtained? he is not making any boisterous type ebay claims as to anything is he?
a lot of those 1/1s are cut from just minors and similar types of issues. i saw an ozzie smith from donruss signatures as well, those are licensed.
now i can understand reasons for questioning the items that contain IP autos, thats a different issue there.

IMO, that guys cut 1/1 cards > leaf 1/1s
