Poll time! Bat Barrel, Logo Patch, Knob, Button, Laundry Tag, etc. What do think makes a card most epic?

Logo patch if available (not just a sliver of one, but a nice sized patch), barrel nameplate if not. On some logos there may not really be a design (like the NY) so sometimes those are boring because of the lack of colors in the logo.

High end vintage. Like a PSA 8 52 Topps Mantle or mint Clemente rookies, I think rookie on card autos from Archives or Heritage are nice, but could care less about buttons, bat barrels, patch cards with bad photography and the like.

About half of those items can yield 1 or 2 copies at most. That makes it pretty special to begin with. I guess for me, the button was one of the more interesting and unique of the relic insertions to come out, except that buttons are so generic by nature. That is where the nameplate is king. You know what you have and it is limited.

High grade vintage, even though I dislike grading. But seeing a '33 Goudey Ruth or '52 Topps Mantle in mint condition is stunning.

Among today's gimmicky "game used" cards, bat barrells are coolest.

Logo patches aren't unique looking like bat barrels. A Derek Jeter logo patch is identical to an Arod logo patch. Boring.

All the cards in the poll are awesome in there own way, for me a rare 90's insert or shiny gold parallel . They were so impossible to pull when millions were produced.

When it comes to game-used I am a much bigger fan of jersey cards than bats for a couple of reasons: Players had many, many more bats than they had jerseys, and bats are much harder to authenticate with any real degree of confidence.

With jerseys, the vintage patches are amazing. I've also come to appreciate button cards more because you know there are no more than 5 or so per jersey. When it comes to older players, knowing how limited they are in that sense is awesome.

For me, I would say logoman patches and bat barrels, but I really like the commemorative sleeve patches, as they actually provide direct provenance as to the year itself. That said, I'm still a fan of rare '90's inserts, chase 1/1's (superfractors, etc.), high end vintage, unopened vintage packs, and all that good stuff.
