Jose Canseco, baby.

As good as I was at little league, my bat should have been Felix Fermin's.

Jim Rice (Picked up the exact same glove earlier in the year. It's a beautiful Wilson model.)

No one else had a Joe Carter?

I wish I now that I could have had a Barry Larkin or Eric Davis. I later had a Ken Griffey Jr. one

I can't remember my first for sure, but I'm pretty sure I had a Greg Luzisnki glove at one point, which is an indication of my abilities in the outfield. I was a born C-1B.

My favorite glove as a kid is a painful memory. I can't recall exactly where it came from, but it was a 1950s issue, I think my dad got it from a friend of his. It may have been a signature model of someone obscure, like Dee Fondy or someone like that. But it felt a lot different from any gloves in the stores then. The leather must've been genuine cowhide or even horsehide. Very smooth and soft, but very solid feeling. Completely broken in, made me feel good. But I left it on the bleachers one time, and 5 minutes later when I realized it, it was long gone. That just sucked.

Reggie Jackson and then Graig Nettles (only had 2 gloves as a kid). My dad got a glove when I was a kid as well, to play catch, and his was Ron Guidry. Still have all three. I look back and find it odd though that all three were Yanks and I liked the Dodgers and we lived in Washington State.
