What would you do? EDIT: Scan Added

I bought this card off ebay that I really like. Its a sweet Jose Reyes Patch card. I did not pay very much for it. The card came in the mail with a very large/noticable ding on the top of the card. I requested a partial refund, and the guy said I can return it to him for a full refund. What would you do in a situation like this. The card is for PC, and has a very sick patch. Let me know. Thanks!

Heres the card, it has a large nick on it on the upper ledge, just to the left of the J in Jose. Its sort of hard to see in the scan, its easier to see from the side view. Its worse than it looks, but the patch is pricesless

So you asked for a partial refund and the guy said send it back for a full refund. I would kept it if it
is what you want for your PC. But if you can find another then send it back for the full refund.

Guy offered a full refund. Lots of people don't take the "partial refund" excuse, and PayPal will side with them when they offer full refunds for item returns. If it's PC, then it really wouldn't matter much that it's dinged to me.

happened to me this week to but the seller was very nice and gave a partial but since this guy won't I say you keep it that's what I would have done

I would do the same, PC and cheap, keep it.

I assume the seller isn't willing to give a partial refund at all judging by your post. I guess I can understand that to some degree in that he doesn't want to give up cash and the card, as that is why he's asking for the card back and will issue you a full refund.

If it were me, and if the card is going to be a PC card in my collection, I would just take the card and stash it away. No harm no foul. I hope you can get some sort of a refund though as it would take the sting out of things for sure. Good luck.

thanks for the responses everyone. I guess i'll keep it, and the patch is a 1 of a kind patch in my opinion, so I wouldn't find another one. I will post a picture of it in a few mins

Well man by looking at the auction I would say you have a legit beef with the seller. You got the same card, but nowhere near the same condition as the scan in the auction shows. As for getting a refund, sounds to me like you will have to either keep it or send it back for a complete refund.

With a patch like that and the price you paid, if it is truely a PC item, I would just keep it and move on to the next one. Patches like that would be a premium and you got one of a guy coming off a down season.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do with it. IMO I would just keep it.

thanks bro. Yea i'm gonna just keep it. It must have happened during shipping, i'm positive it was not me when I opened it. Anyway, yea it was pretty sick in my opinion, and a steal for my PC. THanks guys!

Definitely agree with others. In this case Patch > Ding.
