It's sad for me to watch the hobby be so focused on autographed cards because I think it has led to a TON of overproduction of autographs. It is my belief that, if more baseball collectors collected high end-low production inserts, then the market wouldn't be flooded like it is
Question -- which insert set (or even brand) that is no longer being issued would you like to see in packs today and why.

1. Topps not being the only one with an MLB license.

2. I wish DLP was still currently being produced under said license. And not under the new ownership.

3. Leaf needs to change its name back to Razor.

4. Upper Deck 40 Man.

5. Lower prices.

I'd like Topps to release each year's set and the Update using the pre-1992 card stock. Sell them through the online store. Limit it to 5,000 sets. Release a Tiffany version limited to 1,000 sets. Include some very low numbered parallel cards with different colors of foil as a bonus with each set.

Do something for the kids! This is especially important to me now that my son is collecting and wants to always buy a pack for a chance at a Drew Brees or Andre Dawson card. Why can we not have a set that is not over priced because of worthless autographs and memorabilia cards? What is wrong with a set that does not have 2 or 3 guaranteed autos or relics per box that end up being $5-$10 cards each but make the box cost $90. Take the top 10 players from each team and put them in the set, keep them together in number order like Fleer used to do. Have a million insert sets if you want and several different color borders for base cards and inserts if you want and guarantee one insert and one colored border per 10 card pack for $1 a pack.

Wanted to highlight this specifically as I loved Donruss designs and inserts. Especially fond of the Diamond King cards, where you had artwork mixed in with the regular issue, but could easily make this an insert set instead. Look at the success of Masterworks and other sketch cards. Just don't make each original necessarily.

1.) Sportsflics

If Topps didn't have autos, they'd overproduce the crap out of the non-AUTO inserts/parallels.

It's easy to get many players to sign stickers for a low price, knowing they'll be signing 1,000-2,000 cards.
