Sweet! A contest! I can't believe this! I am proud, so proud, to be eligible to be entered in this contest. All my life, I have striven to live a good life, stay positive, and look out for others. All I asked God in return was a chance to be in a contest. And that day has come! Rejoice! The rains have stopped, and the sun has emerged! A beautiful swallow has landed on my window sill! The earth revolves ever a touch slower on this day, the day of all days, to enter this contest. I would like to thank my own 6th grade teacher, Mr. Fakkema, who taught me that for every good deed, there are rewards worth reaping. It wasn't but two decades ago when I lifted the soul of a fellow worker, who was puzzled with a tough to open blue cheese dressing packet from Wendy's. I did not ignore, or persecute. I thought of the future, my future, and sprang into action. "Let me help you!" I yelled as I snatched the packet from her tired, cold and shaking hands.
"But why?" she barely gasped as the surprise this unforeseen help seemed to catch her off guard.
"I do it, because someday, I will be repaid!" As I ripped the top off the blue cheese packet and held it to the sky. For all to see! For the world to relish in my splendor!
And now, twenty years have passed and my time has come. Your contest just opened for me to enter. Should I enter with fervor? Or humility? Should I enter this contest with the souls of thousands of passed-over, would-be contestants, who never got their chance?
For that, I may leave in the hands of the Lord my answer.
No, now as I click on this tiny link, I see that a contest is for me. Why else would it be? For what reason, on a normal day, would I just happen to open a link that allows me to enter this contest? The world really was watching that rainy day at Wendy's. Of that I am sure.
And now, with the contest open, and ready for me to officially enter. I am proud beyond all imagination, not only to enter this contest, but to be the VERY FIRST ONE!
