I feel bad for the guy who just wanted to sell a Miguel Cabrera card that miguelcabrera found on his daily ebay search.

David

ummm, I made 2 offers on the card, both of which he rejected.
I then pmed him asking about another price (before making my 3rd and final offer), to which he said, sorry I cannot go that low

what's there to feel bad for?
please fill me in, I may just be slow and missing it

thanks

Put it this way, from the seller's perspective.

You have to ask, how much did he pay for the card? Assuming he pulled it from a box, the box probably cost him at least $120. He probably got junk for the rest of the cards...

So the question is, if you bought a box of 2009 finest, would you have been happy pulling the miggy? If so, then I don't see a problem with him asking for $120+ , chances are stacked against you for pulling ANY 1/1 in a box.

Reward the guy with a finder's fee and just be glad the card surfaced.

That's the problem with boxes these days. It is also the reason I don't understand why people just don't hold onto a nice pull like this (in his case, I guess he is), but in other cases they let cards like this off at auction for like 50 bucks. I'm not going to pay too much over market for this card because of that, or any cards for that matter, it is just something I have always wondered and questioned sellers about.

Either way a stupid post by the OP now it will cost him more as he just notified more collectors that its on auction ::facepalm:: ::facepalm::

Because the other people that would want a Miguel Cabrera 1/1 don't know how to search ebay and rely on posts on message boards to know what cards are up for auction?

According to Jeff N I don't know how to search ebay so this was very useful.

What have other 1/1 in this set sold for? Finest looks awesome this year. I would guess $100 considering all Miggy hype going on now.
