What's all the commotion about Steiner orders?

I must be late to the party. Is there a deal going on at Steiner or something? I've seen a ton of "Got my Steiner order", "Have you gotten your Steiner order?" threads lately. What's up?

There was a code being passed around that amounted to a free $50 gift certificate with no minimum order. It turned out that it was only supposed to be for Yankees season ticket holders, however there was no screening process so everyone was able to check out and place an order regardless of whether or not they were season ticket holders. Some people had their order canceled (myself) while others received theirs.

There was seemingly no rhyme or reason as to whether or not you would receive anything. There was a HUGE thread about it a couple of weekends ago that has since been deleted for reasons that remain unclear.

Thanks for explaining. Glad I didn't miss anything great. $50 off already EXTREMELY overpriced items isn't that great of a deal. With all the hub bub I thought people were getting items for $50, not $50 off.

That's a great deal no matter where it's from

there actually was lots of good deals. You just had to buy the items that were $50-$70, so you basically got ir free, just paid 9.99 shipping. Some people bought multiple items using different computers, credit cards etc.

Seven of 9 orders received passed two days

I got:

5 05 All Star Baseballs
5 03 World Series Baseball
9 OMLB with 3 seperate orders

I am waiting for 6 more OMLB rawlings.

Plus, they gave me 25.00 gift card for not having one of my orders.

I say deal of the year and I am stocked up Fanfest for the year.
