Whats happening to Ichiro?

One of the great hitters of our game seems to be declining. I just looked at a box score and he is batting .262! I have no idea how a hitter can still make an impact with a .262 average and 2-10 HR a year. I know he can steal some bases but I have really noticed he hasn't been performing to his normal par. No matter what Ichiro will go down as one of the best hitters in the game and one day we will all hear his name called into Cooperstown. How many more years do you think Ichiro has before he hangs it up?

Well I think this one needs locked up before you get slammed yet again. Just looking out for StrasburgMania. Ichiro is fine but he was playing in Japan in like 96 so........

Come on man......are you just reaching for things to start threads on? This has been discussed in previous threads about his decline. I know its a slow night but no need to stretch.


And to sum it all up.....he's getting older. Numbers will decline. He's been playing since 01 and has had some crazy numbers. If you look at his stats, he's got 102 hits on the season and we're just over half way home. He's averaged 213 hits per season since he's been in the majors so if you look at it that he'll get to right at 200 hits this year, he's not far from his average. Just a down season. And the Mariners aren't playing the best in the world. Guy will be 38 this year. Getting some age on him and playing an outfield position doesn't help.

I dont' know what thread it was in but I know it has been discussed. I just don't like seeing people reaching for thread starters. Kinda like when Harpermania was taking place. Seemed everyone wanted to start a thread about Harper sneezing, or what Harper had to eat, or what kind of underoo's Harper wears. Just clogs up the boards.

Some of them yes. But you don't have a very good reputation on here. That's why you have to send first and people bash you because you have became a Target due to some of your threads where you post something and then someone disagrees and you end up arguing with people who are just trying to help you avoid getting screwd or screwing people on deals that you make.
