I've come to really like thepit.com for the opportunity to buy/sell cards with extreme ease. It also allows one to pick up bulk copies of cards without having to outbid people on eBay. There are also always some nice surprises who are going for a decent amount less than eBay.

Gallardo is a beast. I wish I would have bought when they hit the $20's after his injury last year.

I have a Vince Carter SP Authentic RC PSA 10 that I picked up for $62; these literally went for thousands just under a decade ago, I'm talking $1,500-$3,000, so I had to pick it up for posterity. I also have a Gilbert Arenas SP Authentic Auto RC that I picked up for $30 because, again, they're lower than ever before and I still think he'll rebound. If not, very little risk and a cool card.

Once you have an account set you up you can buy and sell cards that are sitting at thepit.com almost like a stock market. Offers an opportunity to invest in cards you wouldn't have otherwise (like base RC's in bulk.) At times there's also a decent discrepancy between eBay prices and thepit.com prices, and that can be taken advantage of (especially buying on thepit.com and immediately listing on eBay.)

For some strange reason my gut tells me that AKA was making a funny!!!

You could be right, I do think I've seen him mention dealings on thepit. Hopefully the post helps someone though.
