I've come to really like thepit.com for the opportunity to buy/sell cards with extreme ease. It also allows one to pick up bulk copies of cards without having to outbid people on eBay. There are also always some nice surprises who are going for a decent amount less than eBay.

Here's what's in my account right now:

62-02 Matt Cain Bowman Chrome Draft Picks Ungraded
50-03 Carlos Quentin Upper Deck Prospect Premieres Rookie Ungraded
62-03 Chad Billingsley Upper Deck Prospect Premieres Rookie Ungraded
10-05 Stephen Drew Bowman Chrome Draft Picks Autograph Ungraded
52-07 Desmond Jennings Bowman Chrome Prospects Rookie Card Ungraded

What's in your account?

Nothing, right now. I just "reactivated" my account after seeing a couple of your posts. You certainly are correct there are deals to be had on players if you look hard enough.

Gallardo is a beast. I wish I would have bought when they hit the $20's after his injury last year.

I have a Vince Carter SP Authentic RC PSA 10 that I picked up for $62; these literally went for thousands just under a decade ago, I'm talking $1,500-$3,000, so I had to pick it up for posterity. I also have a Gilbert Arenas SP Authentic Auto RC that I picked up for $30 because, again, they're lower than ever before and I still think he'll rebound. If not, very little risk and a cool card.

It's basically a mini stock market. You create an account, fund it (I have a CC attached, but you may be able to do it a different way.)

Once you have an account set you up you can buy and sell cards that are sitting at thepit.com almost like a stock market. For most players they have at least 1-2 cards (almost always RC cards) and for those cards people post buy and sell prices. If you like you can sell by simply click on the highest buy price offered (you can sell from your account, or you can sell without the cards in your account as long as you send them in within a couple of days.) To buy you can enter the lowest price someone is offering to sell, or you can make an offer to either buy or sell at a given price, and if someone else hits your offer, your transaction is completed. The site is extremely easy to use, and the customer service has been great when I've needed it. The fees are very reasonable IMO (both the buyer and seller pay a fee per transaction. In a recent $200 purchase I believe I paid $4 in fees) and thepit.com will ship the cards to you, or drop ship them for you if you sell them on eBay or the like.

Very easy to use. Takes a lot of the hassle out of eBay. Offers another place to pick up cards, especially bulk. Offers an opportunity to invest in cards you wouldn't have otherwise (like base RC's in bulk.) At times there's also a decent discrepancy between eBay prices and thepit.com prices, and that can be taken advantage of (especially buying on thepit.com and immediately listing on eBay.)

Got rid of most of my stuff, still have 10 Eric Duncan chrome autos ( ) that I picked up earlier in the year and a couple Jameer Nelson SPxs, but that's it.
