whats the deal with mike stanton?

i bought this several months ago for $170 at the time i felt i over paid but i justified it by telling myself it is well centered .on a whim i checked to see what was avail on ebay and there are 2 up there one for 299 one for 250. what did i miss?

You're comparing Mike Stanton to Cody Johnson??? Johnson whiffs waaaay too often and is no where near as good of an athlete or prospect as Stanton.

Stanton .362 OBP .535 SLG .897 OPS
CJ .349 OBP .658 SLG 1.007 OPS

CJ has more doubles and double the HR's as Stanton. I'd take CJ's production over Stanton's.

Last year Stanton had 153 SO's and CJ had 177 SO's so they were fairly close in that category.

The last card to sell at auction brought right around $125 dlvd (I picked it up) which is the lowest they have been in a while. I haven't saw a raw copy sell over $200 yet.

Wow they walked into that one.

Yeah I think the biggest difference between M.Stanton & C.Johnson right now is "Hype" (basically M.Stanton has been "loved-down" by BA & everyother prospect site while Cody can't seem to catch a break for his whiff's...I guess 1 season really can make or break ya ::facepalm:: ).
As for BIN price's (as stated above) they mean SQUAT....If I were to go on Ebay & list my M.Stanton Blue Ref for a BIN of $10,000, will that mean it is worth that much? It just means that I overvalue my card by a mile & I must not know a thing about it's value :lol: Don't take any of these comment's as a knock on your card as that is a very nice card to have & still has huge potential (as does M.Stanton, & C.Johnson)! Take care bud

besides longo and some yankee prospects his name was the asked for
that was another reason i though he had a hype moment

im holding for now. i still believe i can profit even at 170. i may even grade it.
