Curious what the all-time best is for some of you...mine was hands down 2007 Donruss E.E. (and I'm still setting on some of it).

Bought four boxes at 80ish a piece and a few loose packs. Had only spent about $350 total.

Pulled a Price blue auto /100 that nabbed $70. Sold a Weiters base auto for $100. Pulled two Heyward auto's that eventually sold for $85 each (could have got more had I held on). Got a Chris Davis blue auto /100 as a redemption which brought $150. Had some random patch auto's that brought about $20 each and a host of $5 to $10 cards as well. Still setting on a Beaven /100 auto, Mesoraco auto, Stubbs auto and a Dominguez /50 base plus a few other random auto's and all the base.

Very profitable, and I wish I'd bought more! Good chance of a 50%-60% return (which would be my best to date).

2008 BDP for around $450 a case pre-sale thanks to 30% live discount.

Even without live, I thought it was a great price at $650 or so. They've gone a lot higher now obviously.

Bought one box of 2008 Topps Update for $40 from the LCS out of sheer boredom, waiting for 2010 Topps Series 1. Pulled a 1/1 Ichiro sketch card and sold it for $140 or so.

Not sure if this is really the point of the topic or not, but I paid for the box three times over, and then some.

It's been mostly luck (there are some bad autos) but 2009 Bowman Chrome has been nice to me. I've pulled a Carlos Santana Orange auto (sold for $425) and a Tommy Hanson Blue auto (traded for around $100). Also pulled a bunch of Freeman autos and Tommy Hanson regular Refractor autos. Also, didn't look good at the time, but have some Viciedo autos I'm sitting on. All in all, the busts have been extremely fun/profitable at under $60 a box.

I have 3:

1) 2004-05 SPA Basketball. Reached up and just grabbed a random pack cause I was board. Pulled a Jordan/Magic/Dr J triple auto redemption #/15. I got ALOT in trade for it and when it was all said and done I got over $1500. Pack was $5.00

2) 2000 Fleer GOTG. Bought 4 packs at $7 per and pulled the Yankees Clippings Mantle GU card. Sold on ebay for $965

3) The first year of Playoff Prime Cuts I bought one pack at the LCS for $150. It came with one slabbed Gu or auto and a pack of cards. I pulled a Ted Williams Dual Jersey Prime / Bat card #5/9. I sold it on ebay 8 hours after I listed it for $599.99.

same for me.. bought 2 or 3 packs and pulled one red, so I think it should pan out well price-wise in the end.

2006 Bowman Chrome followed closely by 2007 Bowman Draft.

I'm talking about bulk ripping and flipping, not like opening a single box for $50 and selling a $300 card out of it.

2004 Fleer Greats of the game 6 box case.
Bought the case for $600, took in $3000 from it.
Did pull William Howard Taft Auto 1/1 which sold for $1900.00

Bought 2 boxes of 1998 or 1999 donruss elite football for $150 from my LCS
Got a Barry Sanders Autos and a Manning parallel #/9 and sold the Sanders to a customer at the LCS with permission of the store owner for $500...
Bought 2 more boxes for $150 and pulled another Sanders Auto and sold the 2 cards and all the cards in the 4 boxes to a dealer at a show for $900

So turned $150 into $1250
All happened on the same day..

This is what got me buying cases after that!!

I used to bust cases of Topps Heritage and I always made my money back plus got to keep all the Auto's and make a set out of the stuff. I don't pay attention to the product as I like prospects alot more now.

2002 Donruss The Rookies - Would bust a case and sell off one or two key autographs to buy another case and repeat the process. I went through four cases of this stuff. I'm money ahead and I still have quite a stash to include some nice Cliff Lee autographs.

2005 Bowman Draft - Did the same thing as 2002 Donruss. Flipped key cards to pay for additional cases. Pulled one of the AFLAC printing plate set redemptions. Forget which color but got $500 on a Best Offer on that one card alone. Still have tons of autographs and about six 5000 count boxes full of singles.

2007 Topps Update Retail Gravity Cases... I opened 8 cases for around $1,100 and have sold over $3,000 and have about 35,000 cards still left.

I came close to breaking even just selling the Mantle HR History cards... Was getting $3-6 a card for them.

2007 Bowman Draft for me too.

Made a ton selling base chromes of Laporta, Heyward, Moustakas, and a couple others as 9.5s. I would have to check the final numbers, but I busted 8 cases and was up $1600 with some inventory still to sell at one point.

The high point of my selling was a Future's Game Blue Refractor Clayton Kershaw BGS 9.5 that I sold for $70.

I cannot remember the year (2006 or 2007 maybe), but the first time Topps Moments & Milestones came out it was easy to double your money. Well, I say easy but it was a lot
of work to list almost every card, but well worth it.
