Worst thing for me was in college. Player came in spikes high at second and took our second baseman out with cleats over the eye. More blood involved with that than the birth of my three kids combined.

Let me clearly state first that I am a mega Yankees fan (so I dont consider this the worst) BUT in terms of whats bad for Baseball, I was there when this happened:

I saw Robin Ventura break his leg on TV It was gruesome he slid into home and his cleats caught if I remember right
After the play his foot was pointing backwards

David Wright get hit in the head with a baseball which caused him to miss 2 weeks and come back wearing that stupid helmet.

Also watching Beltran and Mike Cameron smash head to head in the outfield a few years back was gave me chills

they dont show that highlight anymore. Every time i saw that highlight i got that taste of pain in my mouth and my stomach cringed. That was HANDS DOWN the worst thing i have ever seen. Also the collision that Johnny Damon had in the 2003 ALDS against the Oakland A's. That was brutal also.
