Simple question: what is your all-time favourite baseball set? Which set could you break, or collect, endlessly?

I'm curious about people's answers to this, especially long-tenured collectors.

2003 LCM. It's Atlanta Sports Cards' fault for having all those cheap cases for so long :)

1987 Fleer, love the blue border and since i liked it so much started working on a signed set; only like 120 or so to go and the biggest ones are done already

I loved the metal universe cards when I first started collecting. As far as newer stuff goes, my favorite pieces in my posada collection are from 2004 absolute. I wish this product was made longer. The box topper pieces were something different as well which really spiced up the product.

I'm going to pick a winner in each of a few "era" categories. I wasn't collecting in the 70s or before so those vintage sets may be great but they are not considered in my picks.

80's Pre-Premium Sets: 1984 Topps. The first year I built a set and I liked the funky look of the cards with the team names down the side. From then on, Topps was my primary brand.

80's/90's Premium Set: 1989 Upper Deck - really did change the hobby, and I liked the clean look of the set over the likes of the Stadium Clubs, Ultras, etc. which came a few years later.

00's Mid-End Set: 2003 Diamond Kings - love the DK series and artwork, and this 03 set was before DLP went crazy in 04 and esp 05 with parallels, parallels, and more parallels. First box break as I got back into the hobby after taking a break from 1993 to 2003.

00's High-End Set: 2006 Topps Sterling - the original was the best with gorgeous cards, very nice GU pieces and patches mixed in, and of course on-card autos. Again, the brand was great before being diluted with parallels and non-HOF players. Sterling has some great cards today with nice patches of the current players and some decent patches of the mid-decade HOFers, but I haven't seen cards with the panache of this one that I pulled from 06 Sterling.....

2005 BCDP - It got me back into the hobby, and it seemed like the blasters were loaded.
2005 UD Reflections - Not really the set so much as I loved the dual autos.
