2012 was a down year for me. My memmorabilia purchases were probably my strongest suits.

2011 A&G Codebreaker Angelo Dundee AUTO 1/1

Won it in a contest from the 2011 Codebreakers. Just a cool card and a very unique acquisition story.

I would say these 2 cards. The Mauer is one that I have wanted to add to my PC for a long time and when I pulled a Yu Darvish Auto out of Bowman Platinum I ended up selling it and used the money to finally buy it. The Span is arguably his best card as it's his best true rookie and another that I have wanted for a very long time.

Probably this which I received today from my mother as a surprise Christmas gift. She had been talking about how this was the first Christmas I hadn't picked out a baseball-related gift. She tricked me!

Was a year of the obscure for me, nothing astronomical landed, but here are two favorites.

my best prospect pickup just came this weekend, although its nowhere near my best pickup overall which is easily won by my vintage pickups, but its still the most I have paid for a single prospect card ever......

I'm going to post two - they're both from 100+ year old sets, so I'm going to take a little latitude.

T206 Bill Dahlen and T205 Irvin Wilhelm - both cards completed their respective Brooklyn Superbas team sets.

What version is the Wilhelm?

suffe ed

there's a Cubs winning the World Series chance that I'll pick up the "suffered" version (so you're telling me there's a chance!) - the cost is pretty prohibitive. I'm been told by anyone who knows T205s to consider my set complete as is.
