I've been thinking about this over the last little bit. I know many of you have a "niche" in the hobby. Some of you are prospectors, HOF'er collectors, patch heads, auto hounds, etc. We all rely on each other on here for information about certain aspects of the hobby. I thought it would be neat to have a database of who you can turn to to talk about a particular part of the collecting world. I know its sounds juvenile but I'm just curious as to what you consider your strongest point of the hobby.

For me, its probably modern game used and auto cards. I feel that I'm strongest in this field and can give strong information and advice to someone who might not know a whole lot about it.

Lets hear yours.

My niche is to have friends like you Brain to help me with what and whom I collect.
But like you, I'm a modern guy, But I'm far from one of the so called experts like yourself.

I dont' claim to be an expert by any means. I just feel more comfortable talking modern day game used/autos and such with people rather than prospects, vintage, graded, etc.

Specifically the 2003 Topps 205 Relic set. I know of only a hanful of people that are/have attempted to put it together.

Otherwise I know a lot of random things about the hobby.

Vintage and 80's rc's are probably the bulk of my collection. I tried out prospecting but it made collecting seem like more work then fun for me.

I have a pretty specific niche:

Jack London books/memorabilia and also know a fair amount about Jim Fregosi cards/items.

As I said, pretty specific. :)

Other than that, I wouldn't say I am even close to being an expert in anything!

Tony Clark, 90's inserts. Though I'm not an expert, I have picked up a ton of knowledge from the board in the last year regarding them.

St. Louis Cardinals, Adam Wainwright, and the occasional star autograph.
