When is it too late to send to players/announcers via stadiu

When is it too late to send to players/announcers via stadiums?
Is it too late in the season already?

I usually don't send to the stadium this late unless:

1) The player just got called up
2) The player takes his mail home and signs it in the offseason (i.e. Josh Hamilton)

I plan on sending to David Price as soon (if) he gets called up. Worst case scenerio, you get it back next season.
