any serious response will do

I've done what I posted above on applications before, got the jobs everytime

Strengths could be:

Eager to learn new skills, determined to succeed at whatever you put your mind too. It sounds Corny but you just have to put what they want to hear.

You need to put cheesey vague weaknesses such as:

Work too hard
Too people friendly

Most HR people don't like the ole strengths disguised as weaknesses.

I suggest putting down weaknesses that don't relate to the job or can be a strength in the job. Shows some introspection without damaging your chances. If the weaknesses can be easily improved, that's even better. Something like "I'm too dumb" or "I'm short" won't do.

It really depends on what type of job you are applying for, but these are fairly generic enough to cover all job applications.

Strengths:

1. Self-motivated
2. Loyal/Trustworthy
3. Dependable

Weaknesses:

1. Too competitive
2. Workaholic
3. Can't take criticism well

for strengths

self motivated and ability to get the job done.

project management. (you can be given a project, set progress and dates and meet them as you go)

weaknesses

The ability to say no. (Not so good if you are applying for a management position, but if it is your potential boss hiring, they may just hire you and try to take advantage.)

over promising and under delivering (follow this up with saying that you are one to think of the perfect solution first, but it may not always be realistic. Therefore you may provide a great product, but it may be unable to split the seas that you first mentioned.) This seems like a bad idea at first glance, but almost everyone does it.

I was asked this question at an interview in my first job. My reply was that I would start with the negatives first so that they would forget about them by the time I was done with the positives and they hired me as soon as I said that.

Spend more time on your skill set and impress on the interview stage. You will land yourself a job.

ps. get some goo be gone and remove the 40s before you go on your interview.
