I wanted to ask the collectors here which 1/1 memorabilia card that they would shell the most cash for to add to a pc. Any comments about your choice are welcomed. Thanks.

I went with Bat Knob (and I know this is gonna sound creepy ) only because its probably the part of the bat that the player touches the most?

Not really into modern anything (though hope to possibly start a David Ortiz PC) but I would have to go with the nameplate. I've never really thought much of the logoman cards anyway and though I like the concept of the knob cards, I think the nameplate portion of the bat adds a little more to it. With that said, I've never owned a 1/1 and probably never will anyway.

I already have a Sizemore barrel name plate, and several logomans. He doesn't have a knob, that I'm aware. If any such cards appear I'm in the market for all of them. However, in answer to the question posted in the topic, it would be this one, and I already did.

I suppose for my Frank Thomas collection, if I had to pick one such card, it'd be the barrel name plate. A logoman is pretty anonymous. A bat knob is probably more distinctive than a barrel, especially if it's got a lot of markings on it (check out some of the symbology on Tier One knobs) it probably wouldn't be individually identifiable with the player beyond a "35."

I'd pay more for a superfractor auto than any of those. If you can get the full bat for cheaper than the nameplate or knob, or the full jersey for cheaper than the logoman, I think you might as well get the full thing.

A. I am looking at cards, not full game used items B. I clarified the poll as memorabilia 1/1's, not superfractors or autographs C. Not all veterans have superfractor autos anyways.

As of for the flag card, it is nice, but most veterans do not have flag patch cards. I tried to stick with the big 3 since buttons, logo patches, and letter patches are usually numbered above 1.

The same could be said for autos though - autos on items other than cards are generally preferred.

That does sound creepy Tony ;). I went with Bat Barrel Nameplate because that's where the player hits the most balls. I would go after ones if they looked like they had some wear

And I think the opposite of this. One of the big reason why I collect game used memorbilia (Cards) is because the pieces seem more personal, meaning they have in some way been handled in a game by the player where as a superfractor has nothing to do with the player nor has it been handle (But once, when he signs, if not a sticker) on a consistant basis. Not saying a player touches every button on his shirt on a consistant basis but just saying though out the game he has in some way handled, touched or worn down that memorbilia piece. Too me i guess theres a more " Cool factor ":lol: knowing that you favorite player actually wore that jersey or handled that bat in a game and now you have a piece of it on a card. I dont own or will I ever own a superfractor and I can honestly say my collection doesnt miss it one bit.

How about a button auto 1/1 with an upsidedown auto?
edmautobutton.jpg

Or Logoman with upsidedown auto?

First acquired it for $250 in trade; sold it for $350; bought it from another seller for $150.
