Saw this on MLB Network tonight while watching the Yankees/Phillies ST game repeat from earlier today.

I chose Halladay with Lincecum and Sabathia tied for second.

If I could choose any pitcher, I have enough faith in Verlander to take him over anyone in the league, but this statement comes with no bias filter.

I'd probably take Lincecum. I don't really care that he's never pitched a big game. I'll take the guy with the best stuff. He doesn't strike me as the type to let the pressure get to him.

I guess id have to say sabathia or lee since they are really the only ones tht have pitched in big games. being on the teams they are on lincecum and halladay havent been in the big spots yet. I think they both would do well but hopefully we get to find out. As someone else said Id take verlander anyday.

last year we saw a different sabathia than we did in clevaland and I have to say of those pitchers hands down I want him pitching hes been there and has done it on 3 days rest.

Why? Halladay has never really pitched in any big games. I'd rather a guy who proved many times last year that he can pitch a great game. Cliff Lee really stood out last year in the playoffs. I'd have to take him to start game 1 of a playoff series.

Halladay has pitched many great games...its not his fault the rest of his team sucked

Cliff Lee had a great postseason last year, but most of his career he has either been injured or streaky.

It's too risky on whether you'll get the Lee from 2004-2007 which was streaky and inconsistent, or the Cliff Lee from 2009 which was dominating.

Doc has been consistently good throughout his career

If Milwaukee had to choose one to replay 2008's playoff run, you couldn't get them to change out Sabathia. He was magical at the end of the year...
