Which case should I get?

update: Moneypit only had 1 box of topps chrome and no SPA. Look for a case break sometime early next week. Still would love to hear some more opinions.

Going by the moneypit sometime today. I've narrowed it down to these two. What do you guys think? I'll be doing a live break tonight.

I love SPA, but their product has gone way down hill in the past couple years.

Really, I was looking at some of this years break on blowoutcards.com and it looks like people have been having pretty good luck.

I havent seen this years product, but just look at what you can pull. Outside of that auto logoman (Which 90% cant come close to $1k) what are you looking to pull? Their mutli autos in years past have been on stickers and while they look nice and have great combo's I absoulutely hate stickers.

This years rookie class is just so nasty that I figured any product from this year would probably be a pretty fun break. I like the look of topps chrome ,but SPA has some big hits in it.

I always loved Chrome, I really wish they would do it like Baseball with the on card autos. Would carry such a premium vs. all out non exquisite rookies out there. I still pick up 07-08 Bowman Draft picks and Prospects cases from time to time. $350-$400 case with 14 autos and over 30 jerseys to me is a good deal.

If you forced me to choose, I would go with Chrome. You picked the top products in my opinion, I just dont get the feeling with SPA anymore like I used to.

I have to agree with Kutzy, while I like the SP Authentic this year and the hits can be big....Chrome looks just as great and now that they have those low number parallels (#3 and #5) it is a value product. Sp Authentic drops like a rock once Ultimate and Exquisite hot.....Chrome can hold better value. I will say though the patch pieces this year in the SPA are really nice. And Coastal you are right this rookie class is really good, and can get better.

The last few years I would agree with your comment. I believe SPA has stepped it up this year. That is my vote

I will get off my butt and actually look at some breaks now. I havent seen any, mostly because I havent looked.

Someone pulled a Jordan letter auto 1/1 in the box break section out of SPA.
Good luck with whatever you do. I voted Topps Chrome. No real reason. I do think, however, that SP Authentic case would be more fun to break.

Well, I got the the moneypit and they don't get SPA until Tuesday of next week and all they had was one box of Topps Chrome. I snagged that box and told them I would be back Tuesday. The topps chrome was a fun break. Nothing crazy ,but a little old school mojo. I still might get a case of topps chrome instead of SPA. The cards are gorgeous.

Dunno what the Bird is worth. A couple David Robinson's Red refractors went for $112 and $125. No Bird's have ended. Hopefully a couple crazy player collectors will want it.

My scanner did it no justice. It seems to have a problem with red refractors. I might try to scan it again before I list it.

I would say neither.....reasoning:

There are only a few RC auto's that will cover the cost of the box. The case hit could be a dual of two absolute no names.
The auto correlation is very minimal in my opinion.
