Besides the obvious choice of Matt Purke, mine would be Austin Maddox (Rays) and Jake Stewart (Phillies).

Discuss.

Kenny Diekroeger, Derek Dennis, Pierce Johnson, Dylan Floro, all Rays picks. I'm indifferent on LeVon Washington.

Doesn't Scheppers have until May or so to sign? I thought he's in the same boat as Crowe?

I think he has until next years draft. I have never seen a guy cost himself more money than Scheppers. I guess that's what lying gets you.

Still shocked (therefore elated) that Daniel Fields signed, so for me its now Purke, Jacob Morris, and Jonathan Walsh.

They were, yes. Along with Chad Kettler who was a decent, though lesser prospect. That's some good baseball IQ that you know that! Those guys all underachieved this year big time, but Morris and Walsh are some really interesting talents.

They live about 20 miles away from me and the town I live in played them in the playoffs a few years back. There team had like 3-5 guys in the top 100 HS players in the 09 Prospect Handbook, and I think only 2-3 got drafted  .

Jake Stewart (Phillies). Also Susac.

Discuss.

Damn you Jake Stewart.

Actually, I don't mind it to much. The draft as a whole for the Phillies was pretty weak. I am hoping they are using the money next year in a stacked class.

I would also take Brody Colvin everyday of the week over Stewart. We might be able to get Jake in three years in the 3rd round. Reading an article from Colorado it seemed like he was happy with the Phillies and had no ill feelings.

By the way, I read that the Phillies offered Daniel Fields a million to be their first pick.
