Just post which players you want your team to sign this offseason.

Initially when I heard the Orioles were going hard after Prince Fielder I winced and shook my head. Then the more I thought about it, if the Orioles are going to suck for another 10 years, I should at least be able to see some long balls. It was fun watching Mark Reynolds and JJ Hardy dropping 30 bombs this year. Might as well add another.

This is my dream list. All of these guys wouldn't cost the Orioles draft picks besides Fielder. I guarantee we don't get any of them:

1B - Prince Fielder - Type A
Closer - Jonathan Broxton
RHP - Pat Neshek
RHP - Joel Zumaya
LHP - George Sherill
LHP - Damaso Marte
SP - Rich Harden
SP - Erik Bedard

I wouldn't expect them to sign all 7 pitchers. And I would only want Harden, Zumaya, and Bedard if they got low guarantee/high incentive contracts due to the health problems.

Who do you want your team to sign?

Our team would look something like this:

C - Wieters
1B - Fielder/Reynolds/Chris Davis
2B - Roberts
SS - Hardy
3B - Reynolds/Chris Davis
LF - Reimold
CF - Jones
RF - Markakis
DH - Prince/Reynolds/Davis

SP - Guthrie
SP - Britton
SP - Harden
SP - Bedard
SP - Arrieta/Tillman/Matusz

CP - Broxton/Sherrill/Jim Johnson

DH, this way he stays fresh and runs less risk of injury if he's not playing in the field

he aint going to the al just yet

I would like the Marlins to get Prince.

Prince needs a new bash brother and they dont come bigger or younger than MIKE STANTON.

PLus maybe the warm weather would help him drop a few. ;)

I wouldn't mind seeing the Sox resign Bedard...we desperately need SP and he would be a relatively cheap signing, I think he will do great once he is in full health next season.

I saw something very interesting on ESPN from the insider talk.

The Rangers trade Michael Young to the Tigers(who would like an upgrade over Inge), in order to free up $$ to sign Albert or Prince. As a Tigers fan, I would love this because I don't think the Rangers would be looking for a ton in return for Young, if we were to pick up his contract.

Just thought that was fairly interesting.

the last thing the rangers need is that big of a contract for a position player, they need someone who can throw strikes

I wouldnt look for a lot for young either, but he did have an all star caliber year last year. His trade value should have at least doubled since last year when he was not so great.

There's a chance Albert goes to the AL, but there's no way in hell he doesn't play the field. Albert's one of those guys who see both sides of the game, and as long as the money's similar, he'll go where he's comfortable. Probably St. Louis.

Bedard is too big a risk unless it's really really cheap or heavily incentive-based. He had a great arm, but what a mess he's become. Last year Colon and Garcia were dirt freakin' cheap and both worked out great, so I guess it's worth at least a shot. $2mil get it done?

And as for the Yanks, no CJ Wilson thank you. I'd be fine with E Jackson for $10-12M for 2-3 yrs. Decent innings eater with the possibility of big games. A good 3-4 starter behind Sabathia and Nova.

Big risk? You kidding me?? How is it a big risk if he will only get max about $3M? He hasn't had a full season of an ERA over 4 since 05' while maintaining a low WHIP. I know he has had injuries but with the $ he would be getting it wouldn't be a huge risk, especially since he will start out the season at full health (unlike when he was traded to them with a previous injury :? ....but even with said injury he still did a decent job considering.)
