Taking into consideration a combination of value to his team, statistics, injuries and off-the-field issues, which of these hitters will rebound the strongest in 2010 after a down year in 2009. Pick your top two.

Just taking overall talent and age into consideration, I would have to agree with HPC.

Ordonez, Ortiz, Vlad, Soriano, Griffey and Chipper have all been injury prone and are all hitting their old age.

ARod and Manny won't really be bouncing back per se. ARod still had a good enough season and Manny had to get back from a suspension.

I voted for Wright and think he will bounce back to a 20/30 player with a .300 average and high runs/rbi totals.

Seriously, Alex Rodriguez?

The guy only played in 124 games and still had 30 HR's, 100 RBI's, a .286 BA, and was in the top 10 for MVP voting! What exactly does he need to rebound to??

By the way, I voted Wright. He has no where to go but up.

THEN DON'T VOTE FOR HIM.

I think it's Reyes easily. He hardly played, the others are either old or simply had down years, but they played over 100 games atleast. Reyes is a young, all-star level talent, he just needs to be healthy.

Thanks for the advice, but I had already selected and can assure you it was not for him seeing it was a farce to include him in the poll as it were. Is it ok that I do not use caps though? I do not feel the need to try and heighten the worth or validity of my typed word(s), or vent my frustration(s) with such juvenile mannerisms...

You go ahead though! :)

I'm going to vote for Wright, just because he's got the most in the tank.

But for some reason, I think Jay Bruce is gonna to get it going. Don't ask me why, I just do. I don't think he hits over .280, but he might be looking at close to 30 HRs, 125 Hits, and maybe 80+ RBI.

Again, don't ask me why; but if we're guessing (which is what ALL of us are doing at this moment), then that is mine.

I love when people complain about poll options. lol Why don't you tell us who is a better fit in this ten player poll. You honestly don't think Rodriguez can do much better than 30 HRs and 100 RBIs? OKAY.

The only stat that David Wright maintained from last year was his batting average... and his .400 BABIP casts that in doubt. Maybe it was a one year aberration but it was a weird one (though not unprecedented as Carlos Beltran hit only 16 bombs in 2005 and returned to hit 41 HR's and increase his slugging by 180 points! in 2006)

Reyes can be a stud again if his hamstring will allow it. He had the "injury" label already as he played in about 100 games in 2003 and then only 60 or so in 2004 due to injury problems (hamstring/leg issues I think?- does anyone remember?). He was "durable" for the 4 year stretch of 2005-2008 when he played in at least 153 games each season (not playing in only 15 Mets games in those 4 seasons).

I think Magglio has a really good shot at having a good year. He was on fire toward the end of the season. I think the WBC messed him up early on. The HRs have been gone for a while, but I think his average should go back into the .300s.

I would have to go with Wright. I really wish my boy Maggs will also but I fear he just might be too old.
Reyes was hurt most/all of the year so do you really consider next year a "rebound" year?

David Wright And A-Rod for me.

A-rod played way more comfortably towards the end of the season and in the post season. A healthy season of A-rod (full season) expect him to hit .300+ 45-55 HR 130RBI (def a re-bound)

Wright hopefully can hit 25 HR again.
