Terribly wrong... You are thinking of "Super Boss"!
The raves had a sparkle foil and #'d/150 or so.

Similar to the Sandberg, I can't find the 1985 Subway disc anywhere. The Tom McAn/Jox discs are a dime a dozen, I think it's purely a typo that some of them book for upwards of $40. They're all over eBay for under $2. But I've never seen the Subway discs.

The Subway discs are out there... at least for Ripken:

According to the Beckett Almanac:

"The 1992 Colla All-Stars promo set consists of 25 standard-size cards. The fronts feature full-bleed glossy color photos. The backs carry an advertisement for the cards and logos. Though the cards are unnumbered, they are listed below according to the numbering assigned to them on the checklist card. According to the checklist card, the set was issued July 14, 1992 and limited to 25,000 sets".

Really?? 25,000 sets and I have never seen one card at all from this set?
Hard to believe. I have been searching for Clemens since 1998.

My half-arsed research into the Colla promos I picked up yesterday explains the 25,000 figure. That's how many sets (and the release date) were made of the regular All Star set, not the promo set. All the Colla promos I picked up state the number of sets made for the regular issues; theres no mention anywhere of a print run for the promos. It could be that only a handful of the All Star Promo sets were made; even if it was 100 sets, that's still a tiny amount for an obscure oddball set that many people don't even know that it exists.

I will gladly pay a $10 finders fee to anyone who can locate a copy of Matt Luke's 1999 Upper Deck Exclusives /100, card #122 that's available for sale. I know one Luke collector with a stash of 2-3 copies but I have never actually seen one come up for sale in, now, thirteen years of off-and-on searching.

I will gladly pay a $10 finders fee to anyone who can locate a copy of Matt Luke's 1999 Upper Deck Exclusives /100, card #122 that's available for sale.
