Which is the better long term pickup? 07 vs 08 Chrome

I'm looking at picking up some prospects but am wondering which is the better long term pickup between 07 Bowman Chrome Prospect cards versus the 08 Bowman Chrome cards (i.e., Bumgarner). I've also looked at Sterling as well but am more curious about who believes which year's set is best as a long term option. thx

'07 Chrome or '07 BDP?

I'd go with the 07's. As a collector, I want a players first card(s) regardless of it being autographed or not.

I've got 21 X's and a Gold of Matt Dominguez and won't touch is 08 stuff. The auto doesn't mean much to be as much as the first chrome card.

sorry, meant BDP. I'm specifically looking right now at bumgarner. I have his Chrome BDP from 07 but am deliberating on picking up his 08 Chrome auto.
