I recently came across youtube videos where people are busting early/mid 90s Fleer packs in search of the awe inspiring provision cards so it got me wondering. I'm sure most of you know that they were originally black bordered art inserts included in 1991 wax packs illustrated by Terry Smith. Later, they included some white bordered versions in factory sets. The next year, the provisions were included as part of the base set. After that, in 1993 Fleer changed artists as Smith would go to make art cards for Diamond Marks. Wayne Still took over for the provisions over the final 3 years and they would return as inserts. The ones from 1993 are more expensive that the other years for whatever reason while the ones from 94 and 95 ended up being borderless. Anyways, I'm curious as to what is your favorite card amongst the bunch. Here's a reference...

And for the elusive sold out ones from 1993 series 2...

I think mainly because they were not as common as the others, the 93 set will always be the best/favorite design for me. Clearly they remain popular to this day. I was trying to get them all at some point (other sports as well), but like many insert sets from the 90s, they got pushed aside for bigger and better things and most of that stuff is buried in my collection now.

I loved these inserts. I don't know why but I don't have many of the 1993. Of course they are the most valuable.

Back in the day, these inserts always reminded me of the 1991 Score Dream Team subset, but of course with an artists rendering instead of some staged photo. Equally inventive and cool.

But honestly, the Alomar from the Pro Visions set has never been a favorite. Angel wings?????????

maybe it was just meant to be wings in general. its a cool card. all of the 93s are great, but again, mostly because you see them much less often.
