A-roid - Followed him since I was a little kid and he was in the minors. He was really cool when he signed for us down at spring training. As soon as he left Seattle I didn't like him. Then he went to the Yankees, took PEDs, started fooling around with Madonna, started sucking.

Ichiro - Awesome glove and interesting bat when he showed up in Seattle. After a few years I got sick of the Ichiro love around here. Infield singles only do so much, and he came across as a bit of a selfish player. Oddly enough I wasn't upset he went to the Yankees. I was happy to see him go and wished him the best.

Adrian Beltre - Man, he certainly played a lot beter for the Dodgers and Rangers.

Alex Rodriguez. I never "loved" him, but I always enjoyed watching him play and respected him as a member of the 500 HR Club. Now, it's clear he is/was a cheater and a bad liar as well. Steroids per se don't bother me much (my favorite player supposedly used them - Sammy Sosa), but it does when you continually lie and continue to use them.

Let's see...

Sosa
Pujols
A-Rod
Jeter
Clemens

And, it's not so much "I can't stand them" but I lost a lot of interest in Hunter and Santana after they left. I know the Twins just couldn't pay them and all, but still.

Ken Griffey Jr - Idolized him growing up but when he cried himself out of Seattle demanding a trade, I lost all respect for him.
Ichiro - Loved him on the Mariners. Got traded to the Yankees which wasn't his fault, but then when he signed with them after the season I gave up on him.

Ichiro demanded to be traded 2 weeks prior.

I read the Ichiro trade as more of a "request". One that was probably designed to make the Mariners not look like bad guys sending another superstar packing (though an admittedly aging one). Both sides knew he wasn't coming back. The Yankees part was difficult however. Ichiro is still the most exciting player (during his prime) I've seen in my lifetime.

Nolan Ryan was one of my favorites when I was a kid. Now I'm convinced he was a roider and also don't like him for personality reasons

I am pretty sure 99% of Texas would send you to the electric chair for that comment.

He was all puffed up like a thanksgiving capon while playing on a team with Canseco Irod JuanGon and Palmerio. While being 46 years old.

I'm 100% sure

Rafael Furcal- Loved him when he was on the Braves. I remember the press saying that when he was a free agent, Chipper reworked his contract so that the Braves would have more money to sign Furcal. He still chose to sign elsewhere.

Barry Bonds. I loved him as a kid when he was a Pirate. Then I grew up amd saw baseball as more than just the game on tv, so I saw the ********* and cheater he became. Bonds is dead to me. I would rather put a cat turd in my card albums than a Barry Bonds card.

To a lesser extent, Mark Buehrle. When he left the Sox, a little piece of me died inside.

Speaking on another sport, Dwight Howard takes the cake. His little temper tantrums with Orlando and then his eventual crybaby exit to LA to have Kobe win a ring for him destroyed my enjoyment of the NBA. I have not watched a single game since, and don't know if I will again. I just don't care anymore. Thanks Dwight.

Andy Van Slyke and Brian Jordan. Both left St Louis and immediately talked bad about the organization and the fan base.

It wasn't the Kings getting screwed over in the NBA playoffs against the Lakers, or the Sonics getting bought out to move to Oklahoma City then getting Kevin Durant in the draft, or TheBron* being TheBron*...it was Dwight Howard? :o

For me it's Andruw Jones. Loved when he first hit the MLB level, but can't stand him for never spelling Andrew correctly and getting fat and out of shape in his last seasons with the Braves.
