For me it would have to be Ryan Strieby. Not only because I have his super but because the second half of the Milb season last year, he just went on a surge. Milb.com has took his split stats off of his page for 2008 but from what I remember, before the All-star break, he hit just .258 I think it was with 10 or 11 HRs. After the All-star break he hit .308 with 18 HRs (including homering in 6 straight games). I know there had to be a reason for this, I thought maybe he had done something to his mechanics and I was correct. The prospect handbook states that halfway through the 2008 season, Strieby had tweaked the mechanics of his swing. Granted it was in high A ball but I am very much so looking forward to seeing how he does in AA this year.

Which guys are you most looking forward to seeing how they do this year?

Well said, I'm lookin forward to seeing Strieby this year too. Also looking forward to seeing Porcello.

Brian Bogusevic, being an Astros fan. I hope he continues to move forward as an outfielder.

Jason Heyward, because he is a freaking beast and I hope he keeps rising up and up the chain.

Besides Wes, I look forward to keeping tabs on Wilson Ramos, Wilin Rosario, Derek Holland, and Gererdo Parra.

I really want to get my first full season look at Eric Hosmer as I'm very excited to see the havoc he wreaks on opposing pitcher's! 8-) Just as much as Hosmer, I want to watch Michael Taylor continue his progression in a higher level (as of right now I'm unaware of where he'll start though I believe he is AA ready)! Heck I'm excited to see a new season out of all of last year's crop of "Exclusive's" (I think I'm just ready to get the MILB season ROLLING!!! :D
Oh & a little mention to Chris Carter (A's Masher, not the Red Sox guy), & I'd like to see if the Cubbies Mitch Atkins can continue the successful season he had going last year & break into Chicago's MLB club sometime this season...as well as Josh Vitters turning it up this year in the power department! :D

I might have to take a trip up to Appleton to see Lawrie before he gets a promotion.

Believe or not I actually agree with you.

I know I will be going to the exhibition game they have vs the AAA Iron Pigs(Phils) which is Monday after opening night and plan to go to a lot of games this summer to see him and the other top guys. If he does well he moves in to superstar prospect status, if he struggles, well he might slip a little.

Pretty talented high school lefty pitcher that I think should be tough this year. Also he's in the Marlins organization and they seem to be an up and coming team with all the great prospects in their system.
