It's been a long time since anyone's used this forum, so I figured I'd start up a poll.

I'm actually going with a dark horse - the DBacks. They definitely need pitching. Skaggs is gone, and Bradley's not ready to step in yet. I have a feeling they'll do whatever it takes to sign him. However, I'd prefer if he signed with the Cubs, Yanks or Dodgers, as that would help his card values more.

Suffice it to say I've already made my case for him to have an auto in a future product to the Bowman team. (I'm guessing BG is already hard at work on this as well.)

So, which team do you think will land him and why?

As a prospector, I'm really only concerned about the card values. I know nothing about what team Tanaka will sign with other than what has been posted on this message board so I can't provide an educated opinion on my own.

This looks like one of those investments that goes up and keep going up. I'm guessing if a big team signs him, the cards go up even more. And card values may be stable if he signs with a small market team in the short term so there's not much to lose. I'm not usually greedy on high percentage returns and that usually gets me pretty good [bought fernandez chrome au gradable for $4 dlvd, sold for $20; etc].

The Mariners. Because they have Japanese-ties, and Tanaka was a teammate of Iwakuma and supposedly friends. They clearly have the "we're trying to make a statement to the rest of the league" attitude and have shown they aren't afraid to spend this offseason. It ads up to me.

(Let's get this forum a little more active. If you have suggestions of new users let me know - but only a couple of entries)
