At a very very generous rate of two per box, I was expecting nothing but 80s "vintage".

I've only had 60s and 70s found so far.

Obviously they are all the left overs no one claimed/ got delivered from the topps promotion a few years ago. But at least topps went the extra mile and stamped them.

Who'd you all get?

Does stamping them do anything to their value? Raise it or lower it? I'd prefer them not be stamped. For me personally, I think it devalues them slightly. If I was going to have a vintage card, I'd rather have it unaltered.

It gives the thousands of cards Topps had stamped for this promotion a bump - cards really worth a nickel or less maybe worth $1-$2.

Any notable vintage Topps cards will be hard to pull or non-existent.

I wouldn't worry about altering/unaltering.

I pulled a 1975 Tony Muser and a 1960 Bennie Daniels. These were surprises for me; had no idea these were part of the set, and I like them. If I find someone I collect cheap, I'll grab it, just as an interesting variation.

Jeez. 'Happy 75th to us! Here is a piece of garbage we stamped Topps 75th on! Thank you for your purchase!'

Are these all 1/1s?
Na there are more of these same cards out there. And believe it or not there is one worse than the Oliver on E-bay now. lol

Wow. Those are some beaters. I suppose it's a bit of a novelty so you can see cards from other years but that's really cheaping out.

I don't know if any Jack Clark cards were stamped for this, but if anyone pulls any, I'd love to overpay you for it!

It's the only thing that makes sense for a program like this. If you really wanted a random EX 1978 Andre Thornton, I'm sure you could find one. If they gave them out unstamped, my reaction would be "Great, what do I do with this?"

Which is exactly how a lot of people felt when they redeemed those codes online and got a beat to hell 70s or 80s common.

I had 6 cards and didn't even bother having then shipped.

That's probably where a ton of these came from.
